Dr. Brian C.  Nett has been practicing orthodontics for 8 years and is a Diplomat of the Board of Orthodontics.  He grew up in San Diego, CA.  In high school he was strong safety for the football team, a peer counselor, and graduated in the top 10% of his class.  It was growing up in San Diego where Dr. Nett found his true passion in surfing.  He attended the University of California, San Diego where he also excelled academically and met his future wife Karan.  Dr. Nett received his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University in New York City in 2001 with an emphasis in orthodontics.  He went on to earn his M.S. degree in Dentistry and his certificate in orthodontics in 2003 from the University of Washington in Seattle.  UW is widely regarded as one of the top orthodontic programs in the nation.

He married Karan, who is now a pediatric dentist, prior to attending his orthodontic residency.  Karan’s family resides in the Valley, and although reluctant at first, Dr. Nett began his orthodontic career in Phoenix.  His love of the ocean was soon equaled by his love of Phoenix.  He took up mountain biking, tennis, and golf as well as becoming a huge Suns fan.  It was in their first year in Phoenix that the Nett’s gave birth to their beautiful baby boy Jackson. During their second year in the Valley, Dr. Karan decided she wanted to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry.  That led to the family temporarily relocating to San Diego where Dr. Nett continued practicing orthodontics and Dr. Karan finished her training.  During this period Dr. Nett continued to stay on top of the latest advances in orthodontics by taking plenty of continuing education courses.  He is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Board of Orthodontists, and a Lifetime member of the Surfrider Foundation.

In the spring of 2008, Dr. Nett opened his state of the art orthodontic practice in the Happy Valley/Deer Valley area.  He brings his wealth of knowledge from his extensive training and private practice experience.  His wife also has opened her pediatric dentistry office in the same medical-dental complex. It was shortly after opening her office that Karan gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Emerson.

It is obvious when you enter Dr. Nett’s office that he has a deep love and respect for the ocean.  His passion for quality orthodontic care is equally deep.  Dr. Nett prides himself on providing patients with all of their orthodontic options.  He believes that early treatment should only be utilized when a significant benefit will result.  Studies show that in the majority a cases a single phase of orthodontic care when all the permanent teeth have erupted can result in an ideal finish.  Dr. Nett looks forward to letting you know if orthodontics is right for you.
