Orthodontic New Year’s Resolutions

1. I will brush my teeth more than once a day.

2. I will chew gum less than once every hour.

3. I won’t call my orthodontist during the superbowl with an “emergency”.

4. I won’t gross out my parents by smiling with food in my braces.

5. I will try not to gag on impressions.

6. I will wear my elastics EXACTLY like I have been instructed to.

7. I won’t snap my rubber bands at the kid in front of me at school anymore.

8. I will call my orthodontic office PRIOR to my appointment if something should break or come loose.

9. I’ll stop making excuses for not wearing my retainer.

10. I’ll simply stop complaining about my braces.

  • Your back goes out more than you
  • You quit holding your stomach in, no matter who walks in the room
  • Your arms are almost too short to read the newspaper
  • you sing to elevator music
  • You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge
  • People call you at 9:00pm and ask, “Did I wake you up?”
  • You answer a question with “Because I told you so!”
  • You know what the word “equity” means
  • You have a party and the neighbors don’t even know it

It’s good laugh a little everyday!!
